WoW Hunters is being teased once again in Season of Discovery and player response is mixed

No class has ever been on a rollercoaster ride in World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery like the Hunter, and the latest nerfs have some players feeling like Blizzard has gone too far.

When the game launched, Hunter players were miles ahead of their competitors in DPS. This is largely thanks to the damage output of their Scorpid pets, which outperforms most player-controlled classes.

In the first case, Blizzard implemented a completely justified nerf to the way Kill Command Rune and pet abilities interact with each other. From there, several additional blows were dealt in the form of more minor penalties within the current definition of the game.

As a result, Hunters are no longer the strongest class in PvE or PvP, and with another nerf just announced, some players are fed up.

Stealth nerf irritates WoW Hunters in Season of Discovery

“If we’re going to keep nerfing hunters (not even the best DPS in raids) in PvE, while the community only complains about hunters in PvP,” one person said. I will continue to be confused. Warriors and Rogues have multi-role options, they don’t get touched while at the top, but we’re nerfing 3rd rank DPS in PvE where no one is asking for a nerf?”

Another added: “Yes, it’s another hunter’s nerf, yes we’re already getting weaker as everyone prepares, no we won’t expand in future stages, yes the warrior’s deep wounds have been bugged and it’s an unintended effect, but this is a Blizzard developer. I’ve been attacked before.” The Wind Serpent of Ashenvale The Wind Serpent has been blessed by Blackfathom, so guys be patient while this hotfix takes over everything!

An unfortunate side effect of the additional powers given to players in Season of Discovery is that it’s a near-impossible balancing act for the developer. With Phase 2 launching sometime before the end of February, there won’t be long to wait before the meta changes significantly again.
