World Insurance Associates LLC said Thursday that John Peterson has been named president of growth, succeeding Frank Costa, who will move into the newly created role of national growth leader.
Mr. Peterson, who is based in Chicago, will co-lead new business and cross-selling initiatives and will oversee the global retail sales infrastructure, the broker said in a statement.
Mr. Peterson was most recently Executive Director of the Winnetka Park District in Winnetka, Illinois. Prior to that, he spent nearly 32 years with Aon PLC, including the flagship Aon Financial Services group, the release said.
