Vignesh Shivan receives a notice from Life Insurance Corporation for the title of his film with Pradeep Ranganathan


Vignesh Shivan and Love Today fame actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan are all set to collaborate for the first time in their upcoming film Love Insurance Corporation (LIC).

According to a report by Cinema Express, the real-life insurance company, Life Insurance Corporation of India has sent a legal notice to the director, asking him to change the title of the film.

According to the report, LIC has given seven days to the director and the film’s production company Seven Screen Studio to change the name of the film claiming that they do not like their name being used for the film and if it is not changed by seven days they will take legal action against the film.

The government organization has been a prominent and essential part of Indian society for many years now and has been providing life insurance all this time, building a good reputation for themselves. The organization warned that if the film makers do not change the film’s title, they will take legal action for copyright infringement.

Although the organization has submitted this notice to the makers of the product, an official response has not been received from the other side yet.

LIC (Love Insurance Corporation) currently stars Love Today fame director-turned-actor Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role with Krithi Shetty joining him as the female lead. The film is being bankrolled by Seven Screen and it is rumored that Nayanthara will play Pradeep’s sister in the film. The film also added SJ Suryah in a pivotal role. The film was a long-term project of Vignesh Shivan which was previously planned with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role but was later shelved.

The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander who has been a regular collaborator in Shivan’s films since Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015 and who later continued in his films like Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal in 2018 and 2022 respectively.

Moreover, Vignesh Shivan was initially scheduled to collaborate with Lyca Productions for a film with Ajith Kumar in the lead role which was also announced earlier but allegedly due to the final draft of his script failing to impress Ajith, the star has opted out of the The project. She collaborated with Magizh Thirumeni in another film.
