The Samsung Galaxy S24 family will come with more responsive displays to touch

A week before the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are officially announced at Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event in San Jose, California, more details are trickling in. The latest rumors revolve around something small but perhaps very influential, which is the screen’s response to touch.

According to leakster Ice Universe, the screens of the three devices will receive a 10% improvement in touch response speed. This should translate into smoother and faster touch response, which is the time it takes for the device to react to your touch.

10% isn’t a lot, but it’s clearly more than nothing, and One UI could still use some improvement in the overall smoothness of the process. This has the potential to help with that, so it definitely sounds interesting. Contact us cautiously optimistic, and reasonably enthusiastic.

This improvement could also make using the S Pen a better experience on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. We’ve also heard in the past that the S24 family will feature the brightest Super AMOLED displays yet, with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.

For comparison, the Galaxy S23 series has a peak brightness of 1,750 nits, and even that is 100% completely legible even when the sun hits it directly. Therefore, the wow factor (when used in very bright, very sunny conditions) will be raised this year.
