The Samsung Galaxy Ring is said to be ultra-light and will be launched later this year

Samsung teased its first ring-shaped fitness and health tracker last week at its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. The company showed off the design of the Galaxy Ring and said it was coming soon. The company did not reveal much, including its features, price and availability. She has managed to keep the Galaxy Ring a closely guarded secret.

The Galaxy Ring comes in three colors and will be launched later this year

Now, a new report claims that details about the Galaxy Ring have been revealed. According to Avi Greengart, a technical analyst who previously worked at Intel and JupiterResearch, the Galaxy Ring is incredibly lightweight. He claims to have had hands-on experience with the product and says it will come in three colors (or colours?). The wearable reportedly comes in multiple sizes (up to 13) and will launch later this year.

From the images, it looks like it will have a heart rate monitor and pogo pins (for charging) inside. Separately, Samsung MX president TM Roh said that some people don’t like wearing bulky smartwatches while they sleep, so a device like the Galaxy Ring is more comfortable and convenient for those users. It will likely feature heart rate/SpO2 monitoring, sleep tracking, and exercise tracking, and will likely sync data with Samsung Health.

The Galaxy Ring could work alongside the Galaxy Watch to provide more accurate health, sleep and exercise tracking. Oura Ring is the most popular health tracking ring to date, and Samsung is the first big tech brand to offer a ring-style fitness tracker.
