The best laptops at CES 2024


Laptops are always a big draw for CES, and brands like MSI, HP, and Razer have unveiled updates to several fan-favorite lines. Some use Intel’s new Core Ultra 7 chip, which is powered by AI for improved efficiency and multitasking. Other devices are built with Intel’s 14th generation Core chips to boost performance.

All of this year’s laptops also feature updated displays, choosing OLED or Mini-LED panels to create better color and contrast gamut, or offering very high refresh rates for smooth motion.

This means that while you’ll be able to swap out the stock storage drive later, you won’t be able to boot two storage drives and dual-boot to separate your game library from your everyday files and programs.

The 17-inch display gives you a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and an ultra-fast refresh rate of 240Hz. It is also capable of producing up to 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut for more realistic images.
