A man was arrested Saturday for allegedly trying to break into Taylor Swift’s New York City apartment in Tribeca.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department told Page Six that officers received a call about a “disorderly person” on Franklin Street.

“Upon arrival, they (police) were informed that the person had tried to open the door of a building at the site,” the information officer adds.

Although police have not confirmed that the man – whose identity has not yet been revealed – was trying to get into Swift’s home, a separate source confirms that they saw the suspect trying to enter her home.

“I first saw him about one o’clock in the afternoon – he went to Taylor’s door,” eyewitnesses say.

“I’m not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell.”

The source also notes that they’ve seen the person roaming the neighborhood — especially around where Swift lives — “for a few weeks.”

A second source who lives nearby tells Page Six exclusively that they also saw the same man “lurking here for a month.”

We were told that he was “sleeping on the stoop, smoking constantly, and yelling, generally making everyone uncomfortable.”

“When he arrived before Christmas, he asked my husband what he was doing here and said, ‘I want to see Taylor,’” the neighbor alleges. “He even had flowers at one point.”

Our fellow resident told us they called the police “several times” but officers didn’t do anything until the man actually tried to enter the building.

The neighbor added: “I asked him to leave this morning and he stared at me in a state of inertia.” “Total nut.”

Our first insider says that once police arrived around 1:45 PM ET in several patrol cars, officers spoke to the alleged stalker “for a few minutes before they handcuffed him.”

“The whole thing was very civilized,” says the eyewitness. “He didn’t struggle. There was no screaming or anything.”

Photos obtained by Page Six show the bearded person with shaggy brown hair who was booked.

He was wearing a hoodie, khaki pants, a navy blue jacket, and tan gloves.

Police told us that the suspect was detained due to a valid arrest warrant and has not yet been released.

Page Six reached out to Swift’s rep for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

The pop star, 34, was apparently still in the Big Apple — and likely at her home — when the alleged stalker tried to break in.

However, the Grammy Award-winning singer is no stranger to being chased into the concrete jungle.

In 2019, another man, Roger Alvarado, was arrested for trying to break into her home in Tribeca.

When asked if he would do it again, the criminal unabashedly replied at the time: “Maybe more violently, but not towards her,” adding: “I don’t want to hurt her. I just wanted to talk to her, talk to her. She seems nice.” (And) fantastic.”

Alvarado struck a plea deal with police and was later sentenced to four years in prison. This was the second time he was arrested for the same crimes.
