‘Step by Step’ reunion: Cast remembers Suzanne Somers at ’90s convention

the Step by Step The cast reunited at 90s Con on Sunday and remembered the late Suzanna Somers.

Patrick Duffy, Stacey Keanan, Angela Watson, Christine Lakin, Christopher Casteel, Jason Marsden and Sasha Mitchell paid tribute to their late colleague, who died in October after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

“Susan gave the most beautiful, thoughtful gifts and was a person with tremendous style and charm in her real life, and I will never forget that and still cherish her,” Keanan said.

Lakin said she always admired Somers growing up and watching reruns of his show Three Company.

“I grew up with her and watched her as a woman, as a businesswoman, as someone who was a huge star with a bright light, and she was so amazing, and she was also so humble and someone I really admired,” Lakin said. “She was the person who made me think as a young woman in Hollywood, you can be kind, you can be generous, you can be successful, and all of these things don’t have to be mutually exclusive.”

“She was so kind and loving,” Lakin continued. “She had a very big heart, and we really miss her.”

“Being able to do a mother-daughter reunion competition where we dance and sing together,” Watson remembers.

“That was absolutely amazing,” she added. “Like, the highlight of my career.”
