Photographer accuses Taylor Swift’s father of assault in Sydney – reports


A photographer has accused Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, of punching him in the face on a Sydney dock in the early hours of Tuesday morning local time. According to media reports, the alleged confrontation occurred after Taylor Swift and her father got off a yacht, and after the star’s final concert on her Eras Tour in Australia.

Photographer Ben MacDonald told the BBC that the singer had already gotten into the car when Swift “attacked” and attacked him.

In a statement reported by Australian media, police said they were informed that “a 71-year-old man assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf at approximately 2:30 a.m., before leaving the site.” The younger man reported the incident, and officers from North Shore Police Area Command are now investigating. The man did not need medical treatment.”

In a statement to Rolling StoneA spokesperson for Taylor Swift said that at the time of the alleged incident, “two individuals were aggressively advancing on Taylor, grabbing her security personnel, and threatening to throw an employee into the water.”

Swift finished the Australian leg of her Eras Tour in Sydney on Monday night. Her next shows start in Singapore from March 2. Her private plane was seen departing from Sydney International Airport at 11:58 a.m. local time today, 7News reported.
