GeForce RTX 40 SUPER pricing rumors
The new RTX 4080 SUPER is said to cost less than the RTX 4080 at launch.
A reliable source, MEGAsizeGPU, has revealed details of the expected prices of the upcoming GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series. Given the consistent accuracy of this leaker’s information in the past, it can be considered trustworthy. It should be noted that the announced prices are also consistent with the data shared by Moore Met’s Law.
According to a MEGAsizeGPU post, the RTX 4080 SUPER is expected to be priced at $999, representing a $200 drop compared to the non-SUPER RTX 4080 when it was initially launched over a year ago. This SKU shows the most significant price adjustment within the SUPER series, despite displaying relatively modest improvements in specifications.
MSRP for RTX40Super:
4080x:999
4070Ti-S:799
4070S:599– Mega Size GBU (@Zed__Wang) January 6, 2024
The 4070Ti-S is on par with the 4080 in most games.

Nvidia’s strategy is that they will never officially lower the prices of their products. They will launch new products with the same performance and lower prices instead.– Mega Size GBU (@Zed__Wang) January 6, 2024
Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is rumored to be priced at $799, which reflects the exact MSRP of the non-SUPER card when it launched exactly one year ago. Additionally, the RTX 4070 SUPER is set to replace the non-SUPER version at $599, strongly suggesting an imminent price cut for the latter.
If previous speculations hold true, the RTX 4080S and 4070TiS are expected to replace existing SKUs, while the RTX 4070S is expected to co-exist with the current model in the market. NVIDIA has no intention of officially reducing the prices of current models, at least officially, but of releasing new graphics cards with the same performance but at a lower price, as the leaker claims.
Whether the new information is true, we should learn soon enough, as NVIDIA will officially announce the RTX 40 SUPER series in a couple of days and the first SKU is scheduled to launch on January 17.
