Lori McCreery and Morgan Freeman Revelations Entertainment to prepare docuseries titled ‘Ear Hustle’ based on podcast Life in Prison


Exclusive: Laurie McCreary and Morgan Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment are teaming up for the podcast Ear noise – part of PRX’s Radiotopia podcast network – in an adapted documentary series.

Co-hosted by Nigel Burr and Earlon Woods. Ear noise It launched in 2017 as the first podcast created and produced in prison. A two-time Peabody Awards finalist, National Magazine Award finalist, and Pulitzer Prize finalist, the series has been downloaded more than 78 million times, by the team inside and outside California’s San Quentin State Prison, and navigates through stories like finding romance, grappling with punishment… Life in prison, trying to parent through 15-minute phone calls, getting out and starting over, and beyond.

The series is directed by Erica Cohn, the two-time Emmy and Peabody Award-winning director behind The New York Times Critics’ Choice. Cohn will also serve as executive producer, alongside James Younger, McCreery and Kelly Mendelsohn for Revelations Entertainment. Poor and Woods will also serve as executive producers.
