The Engadget team is on the ground in Las Vegas covering CES 2024, ready to catch all your print tech news. Since you may not have time to read every story on our site, we’ll round up the most exciting stories into daily live blogs to keep you informed.
The show doesn’t officially start until Tuesday, but the first day begins this evening with the CES reveal, where a group of companies gather in a crowded room to show off a small sample of their new products. We’ll be bringing you all the news live from the sad ballroom at Mandalay Bay Casino starting at 8pm ET.
We’ll be live again tomorrow for a busy Monday schedule. First up tomorrow is AMD’s press conference at 10am ET, then we have competing press conferences at 11am – NVIDIA and LG. There are plenty of other shows in between, but the next big press show after that is Samsung’s show at 5pm ET. So what do we expect from all these conferences? Well, AI of course, but beyond the obvious, you can probably look forward to some new graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA, and a host of new home entertainment gadgets from the two Korean giants.

This year at CES 2024, the company is launching a pair of Pro models that feature upgraded OLED panels that support touch input and variable refresh rates. It also comes with Intel’s Meteor Lake processors and up to NVIDIA RTX 3070 graphics cards.

Mui’s exotic wooden smart home controller hits Kickstarter tomorrow
Mui is no stranger to CES, as the company’s first wooden smart home console was shown off in 2019, and the company has been working on a second-generation model for at least a year. But, finally, it looks like the new Mui Pad will be something you can order and hopefully get your hands on before the end of 2024.
Like the original, the new Mui Board is a touch-sensitive wooden surface that lets you control smart devices throughout your home. When not in use, it looks like a small wooden ledge, but when you tap it, the screen lights up. It’s a bit like a higher-end, less annoying version of the Nest Hub.
