Jason and Travis Kelce address the ‘absolutely tragic’ Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade shooting.


Travis Kelce and his brother Jason spoke out about the tragic shooting incident in Kansas City amid the parade celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win.

The Kelsey brothers had planned to release a pre-recorded episode of their series new Horizons “After the tragic events of the Super Bowl show in Kansas City, it wouldn’t have been okay without you guys hearing from us first,” Travis said.

“We just wanted to say that our hearts go out to all the victims, their families, the Chiefs Kingdom and all of Kansas City that were really there on a day to try and celebrate the community,” Jason said in the video shared on X. The social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Jason continued: “The events that occurred are extremely unfortunate and tragic. We also want to thank the local law enforcement authorities who took action. First responders at the scene and anyone who was willing to help those affected by this tragedy.

The brothers shared a link where fans can support the victims and their families with money also going to violence prevention, mental health services and first responders.

Jason noted that the pair were planning to “do something in the future” and “try to get there now” with “some ideas” they had to share to help.

The tragedy in Kansas City left radio DJ Lisa Lopez Galvan dead and more than 20 gunshot victims. Two teenagers were arrested in connection with these events.

Travis created a #KCStrongFund to support the victims and their families, donating $100,000, matching Taylor Swift’s donation to a GoFundMe page set up for López-Galván.
