Hays Medical Center and UnitedHealthcare have reached an agreement to participate in the UHC Marketplace Plan, ensuring Kansans enrolled in the UHC Marketplace Plan will continue to have access to high-quality, affordable care at HaysMed.
Through tireless collaboration between HaysMed and UHC, an agreement has been signed whereby patients participating in the UHC Marketplace plan will now be in-network for the medical care they receive at HaysMed starting January 1, 2024. HaysMed is pleased to be able to offer this coverage option to patients throughout Region.
This agreement continues HaysMed’s commitment to providing high-quality patient care at an affordable cost as the premier provider of specialty care in western Kansas. The UHC Marketplace plan is a new product being offered in the HaysMed service area.
For patients who participate in the UHC Marketplace Plan, no action is required. Patients who wish to participate and are able to transfer their coverage must contact their insurance broker before January 16, 2024.
