The musical inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow’s famous legal battle with Utah ophthalmologist Terry Sanderson will be brought to the US. diverse I learned exclusively.

But instead of heading straight to Broadway, “Gwyneth Goes Skiing” will return to where it all began — Utah — where the Egyptian Theater in Park City is set to host the Awkward Productions show. Creators Linus Karp and Joseph Martin will reprise their roles as Paltrow and Sanderson on stage.

The transfer will also include the voice of Paltrow’s “Glee” co-star Darren Criss, who lends his vocal chops to the soundtrack alongside comedian Kat Cohen (“What We Do in the Shadows”). Chris will provide the singing voice for Sanderson, while Edinburgh Fringe Award winner Cohen will play alongside Paltrow, performing hits including “See You in Court” and “I Wish You Well.” The songs were written by Leland (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”).

Trixie Mattel also joins digitally as Paltrow’s mother Blythe Danner.

“Gwyneth Goes Skiing” is an interactive musical comedy that tells the story of Paltrow’s fateful 2016 encounter with Sanderson on the Deer Valley ski slope that led to Sanderson suing Paltrow after he accused her of skiing on him.

Paltrow disputed Sanderson’s account, saying he had hacked her, and sued for $1 plus legal fees.

The case went to trial last year, where the jury ultimately sided with Paltrow. But it sparked a number of viral moments and memes, spawning numerous documentaries and musicals.

In “Gwyneth Goes Skiing,” the audience not only participates in the play, but they also act as judges.

Awkward Productions has previously produced shows including “Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story.”
