Although Gisele Bündchen “can’t really worry” about what the world says about her, she does have some strong feelings when it comes to her family and raising her children.

The model spoke candidly about some of the challenges she faced while dealing with ex-husband Tom Brady, saying in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar published Thursday that she sometimes “gets rejection” from her children.

“Especially because now they are in two different homes and there are two different ways,” Bündchen said, adding that her individual parenting style boils down to feeling that she “owes it” to her children to pass on valuable lessons to her mother. I taught her.

Among those lessons: “The way you organize your room, the way you organize your bed, is the way you will live your life,” she said.

Bündchen acknowledged that her children are growing up with more privilege than she had when she was their age, and said she tries to give them the tools they need to navigate life.

“If you don’t learn here and now, then when and with whom?” She said.

Bündchen has two children with Brady — Vivian, 11, and Benjamin, 14. She is also the former stepmother to Brady’s son Jack, 16, who the football star shares with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Brady and Bündchen jointly announced in October 2022 that they were divorcing after 13 years of marriage, and both stressed at the time that caring for their children was a shared priority.

Because Bündchen and Brady are people who deal with the public, she knows that her private life — especially as she navigates this new era as a single mother — is under the microscope more than ever. But outside opinions don’t matter to her.

“I can’t really worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business,” Bündchen told Harper’s magazine this week, adding, “It’s really their business that they’re trying to put the spotlight on me.”

“If I were to be affected by that, I would never live my truth,” she said.
