Exclusive: Gersh signed with actor and producer Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin) for representation in all fields.
He is perhaps best known for starring in all five seasons of The CW’s satirical telenovela series Jane the VirginCamil departs from the popular Apple TV+ musical comedy Shmegadon!Which lasted for two seasons.
Next, the actor will make a recurring appearance in the second season of the NBC hit Lopez vs. Lopezand also takes a guest arc in the upcoming season of Acapulco For Apple TV+. Additionally, he is set to narrate and executive produce Desi la risa Roku series that explores the origins of Mexican products like coffee, chili peppers, corn, and mezcal.
Previously, Camille starred in and produced the CBS comedy series Destroystarred as the main villain opposite Zoë Kravitz in Steven Soderbergh’s thriller Kimmyand hosted and performed the game show Loteria Luca For CBS. He also played Mexican music icon Vicente Fernandez on Netflix El Rey, Vicente Fernandezwhich spent five weeks in the top 10 global (non-English) TV shows when it debuts in 2022.
Before he achieved great success in the English-language market, Camil was already a huge star in his native Mexico and throughout Latin America for his work in Spanish-language projects in both television and film.
