Star Wars Jedi: Survivor dominated the Game Audio Network Guild Awards, taking home seven awards including Sound Design of the Year.

On Thursday night, the Game Audio Network Guild awarded 30 top industry professionals at its 22nd annual gala, honoring the dialogue, music and sound design of the year’s most popular titles.

The event was held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and was co-hosted by former IGN Vice President of Video Fran Mirabella and voice actor Morla Gorondona. Admission to the show is free for anyone registered.

“We are proud to recognize the pinnacle of achievement in game music, audio and dialogue as we have since the first GANG Awards show in 2003,” said Brian Schmidt, president of the Game Audio Network Guild. “Gathering in person to celebrate and applaud the accomplishments of fellow members within the audio game community is an experience like no other.”

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” also took home the award for Sound of the Year, as well as awards for Music of the Year, Best Original Soundtrack Album, Best Sound Mix, and Creative and Technical Achievement in Sound Design. Summerfall Studio and Humble Games’ “Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical” took home four awards, including Best Sound for an Independent Game and Best Music for an Independent Game. “Baldur’s Gate 3,” which also took home four awards, received wins for Best Ensemble Performance and Best Main Theme.

Steve Schnur, music industry veteran, global CEO and head of EA Music Group at Electronic Arts, received this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

“Although ‘lifetime achievement’ is a term I never expected to hear at this point in my career, I am humbled by this award, proud to be recognized by my industry peers and looking forward to what I know will be the future,” Schnurr said. “It will be an unforgettable evening with the GANG community.”

In honor of Bob Rice, former board member and 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient who died in 2023, the GANG Recognition Award has been renamed the Bob Rice Recognition Award, awarded to the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
