Fremantle completes Asacha deal
Fremantle has completed its big-money acquisition of… Death in heaven Produced by Asacha Media Group. Asacha is headquartered in Paris, France, and will continue to be managed by co-founder and group CEO Gaspard de Chavagnac who will report to Andrea Scrosati from Fremantle. Marina Williams will continue to have De Chavagnac’s support as Asacha’s chief content officer. Nominations will report to de Chavagnac. “We are thrilled to welcome Asacha and its amazing brands, producers and creative talent, under the leadership of Gaspard de Chavagnac, to the Fremantle family,” said Scrosati. For Fremantle, the completed move will be a major boost in its bid to reach its much-discussed €3 billion revenue target, which last week’s deadline revealed had been delayed by up to a year.
TV shows in London reveal dates for next year
London TV Shows has announced dates for next year and said there will be a 50% increase in the number of buyers this year. The growing event, which brought together 29 studios and distributors in 2024, will take place from 24 to 28 February in 2025. Organized by ITV Studios, All3Media International, Banijay and Fremantle, the shows have become an integral part of the TV market calendar. Organizers said the fourth annual event saw a 50% increase in buyers, around 750+ in total, as well as attracting 29 participating distributors/studios, a slight increase from the 2023 edition. Chromes Studios is moving to Unscripted
Chrome Studios, the entertainment arm of London and Los Angeles-based content and commercial company Chrome Productions, is moving into unscripted work. The company has hired Bri Marzigliano of Wag Entertainment to assist with the campaign. She will work across the unscripted roster alongside Executive Creative Director Stephen Parker, Founder and CEO Joel Mishcon, Chief Operating Officer Emma Astaire, and Vice President of North America Robert Chiu. Chrome is also in development on its first written project, Poles apartWritten and directed by British director Reggie Yates. “Moving into unscripted entertainment is a natural next step for Chrome,” Parker said. “We identified an opportunity to position ourselves as a thought-leading player in the hybrid space between commercial and entertainment, and Brie’s background in developing long-running series and high-profile feature docs for networks and streamers in the US and UK makes her the perfect choice to build on our unscripted slate.
