Emmys 2023 In Memoriam is missing Jerry Springer, Julianne Sands and more

Delay friends alum Matthew Perry, mystery lover Angela Lansbury, sitcom king Norman Lear, and dancer extraordinaire Stephen “Twitch” Boss were among those honored during the 2023 Emmys In Memoriam ceremony on Monday night during a live broadcast from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. But others were not.

Jerry Springer, Julianne Sands, Ray Stevenson, Tom Sizemore, Raquel Welch, Lisa Loring, Al Brown and Charles Kimbrough — all of whom died this year — were not featured in the annual awards show segment.

Charlie Puth and War and Treaty appeared on stage to perform a musical tribute to the celebrities we lost in 2023. The artists performed a medley of Booth’s “See You Again” and Rembrandt’s “I’ll Be There for You.”

In Memoriam was presented by Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers, who made a special note to Lear, saying: “We were part of a very unique family, not just the Bunkers, but Norman Lear’s extended family.”

Others who have appeared in In Memoriam include Ron Cephas Jones, Treat Williams, Angus Cloud, Lance Reddick, Suzanne Somers, Leslie Jordan, Jim Brown, Bob Barker, Paul Reubens, Kirstie Alley, Andre Braugher, Harry Belafonte, Alan Arkin, and Barbara Walters. .
