Doja Cat’s mother has filed a temporary restraining order against her son and Doja’s older brother, alleging they “physically and verbally” abused the singer.

Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer claimed in her filing that her 30-year-old son, Raman Dalithando Dlamini, caused the singer’s teeth to be knocked out, according to TMZ, though it’s not clear when the incident occurred.

Her mother also alleged that Raman gave Doja, 28, “cuts and bruises” and stole and destroyed some of her belongings.

Deborah alleges that Raman was also verbally abusive towards his sister “in a very degrading and humiliating palace (sic)” and claims he made her daughter feel “unsafe and traumatised”.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Doja’s representatives for comment.

Deborah claims Raman also physically assaulted her and threatened her several times in the past year.

It claims the latest incident occurred earlier this month.

Although the judge granted Deborah court-ordered protection from her son, pending a hearing for a permanent restraining order, he did not grant it to Douga, ruling that she would need to file her own application for a restraining order.

Duja’s mother noted in the documents that she previously had a restraining order against her son, but it had since expired.

Douga – real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – was born in Los Angeles to parents Deborah, an American graphic designer of Jewish heritage, and Dumisani Dlamini, a South African artist of Zulu descent.

He is best known for playing Alligator in the original Broadway cast of the musical Sarafina! The film adaptation was released in 1992.

In a 2021 profile in Rolling Stone magazine, Doja revealed that she and her brother were two of the few mixed-race kids in their neighborhood and experienced racism.

She said that most of her friends growing up were white and Jewish, and that her brother would make fun of her for not having black friends.

In the same interview, her former babysitter, Alexis Haynes, revealed that Doja’s brother’s behavioral problems “took up a lot of space in that household.”

Not much is known about the singer’s family, including the number of her siblings, although she said in an interview with Vader that they are “spread out in different cities.”

Maybe there was no room for Doga’s feelings. She had other outlets and ways and ways of trying to get attention, but she was a good kid, a nice kid.

Doja has suggested in the past that she has become estranged from her father.

It’s not clear how many siblings the Streets singer has in total, though she said in an interview with Fader that they are “spread out in different cities.”

She noted in the same interview that she feels “blessed” despite not having a nuclear family.

“It’s always great to have your parents in your life and all your brothers and sisters and everyone loves each other, but sometimes that’s not the case.”

Doja’s Scarlet Tour officially kicked off in October on Halloween night in San Francisco, and is in support of her fourth studio album, titled Scarlet, which was released in September.

It completed the North American leg of the tour in Chicago on December 13.

The star will resume the rest of the tour on June 11 with a stop in Glasgow, Scotland before concluding in Liège, Belgium on July 12.

It’s already on track to become the highest-grossing tour by a female rapper in history.

Both Ice Spice – known for his hits including Boy’s A Liar Pt. 2 – and Masked Singer Doechii were the supporting acts for Doja’s North American tour.

Unlike other music artists, the rapper wore a completely new look at each music stop, instead of undergoing different outfit changes during the show.

Another different step is that instead of fans purchasing merchandise at concert venues, such as t-shirts and hoodies, they can purchase items on their own time from Doja Cat’s Amazon store.
