On the occasion of its follow-up in 2019 get to know mewhich was released on BET+ and later Prime Video, My name is preacher It sees the comedian discuss everything from his Bedouin upbringing, to living life with a mischievous dog, to getting hung up on his birthday, with a focus on family.
“Family is very important to me,” Lawson said. “My mom has opened up for me while recording my own songs, my brother is a frequent collaborator, and my fans are part of my extended family. That’s why I’ve spent the last five years working on this material for my fans and their families and I can’t wait for them all to see it.”
Boasting more than 3.4 million followers on TikTok and more than 640,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel, which features clips of everything from his stand-up to MMA training and vegan cooking tips, Lawson honed his skills as a comedian in Orlando, Florida before breaking out with his debut. In season 12 of America’s Got TalentWhere he reached the final rounds. This led to the appearance of America’s Got Talent: Heroes And Britain’s Got Talent: Championswhere he advanced to the finale and, most recently, was chosen by Howie Mandel to star in it America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League.
