Blake Lively apologizes for mocking Kate Middleton’s Photoshop failure: “I’m sorry”

Shortly after Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, announced her cancer treatment, Blake Lively took to social media to apologize for mocking the royal family’s recent Photoshop fail.

“I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I should admit it,” Lively wrote on her Instagram Stories. “I wrote a ridiculous post about the craziness of ‘Photoshop fails’, and oh my god, that post shamed me today. I’m sorry. Sending love and well wishes to everyone always.”

The photos in question were promotional shots for Lively’s Betty Buzz and Betty Booze line which showed her relaxing with a drink. Aspects of the images are clearly exaggerated and/or pixelated.

There was speculation about Middleton’s health shortly after she first announced that she would undergo abdominal surgery in January, the same day it was revealed that King Charles had cancer.

This speculation has increased over the past two weeks after four major news agencies withdrew the photo of Middleton and his family from their libraries amid fears that it had been tampered with. Middleton took the blame for her poor photo-editing skills the next day, but it did little to quell the media interest, which was exacerbated by photo agencies reporting a second photo, allegedly taken by her, of the late Queen Elizabeth with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
