‘Unbroken’ cast reacts to show’s cancellation: ‘Sadly there won’t be a second season at all’


Following Showtime’s decision not to move forward with a new season of inseparable After Netflix’s cancellation, the cast and crew of the series are breaking their silence.

Jay Rodriguez, who played Jonathan No. 2, took to social media to share his thoughts on canceling the show for good.

“Hey, I think I won’t be going to NYC in May to film,” Rodriguez posted on Instagram Stories.

The comedy starring Neil Patrick Harris, created by Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, premiered all eight episodes of the first season on July 29, 2022. In January 2023, Netflix canceled the series after one season. However, a month later, Showtime stepped up and picked up a second season of the comedy, which had been delayed due to a writers’ strike.

After the show ended, Dan Amboyer, who played Harris’ girlfriend, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram.

“It’s sad that there won’t be a season 2 of inseparable After all, Amboyer posted. “Grateful for my experience, I was hoping to see this story continue. I had my eye on it as soon as I heard about it, originally. One of my favorite projects (to be a small part of) – and a meaningful moment for me to finally play a gay role on screen. Magical People, “Main creatives. I can’t wait to see what they cook up next.”

Nick Rouleau, who played Tyler Hawkins, responded to Amboyer’s post, “We will always have Season 1 – very special!!”

inseparable It followed Harris as a newly single gay man, Michael Lawson, navigating the Manhattan dating scene. Michael soon finds that the gay dating environment has changed and that he must make a change so as not to remain single forever.
