Former Fifth Harmony member Normani Kordei releases the first single from his debut album “Dopamine” with the song “1:59”


Normani Cordy has finally released her debut solo album after impressing fans for many years following the split of Fifth Harmony.

The singer shared a snippet of the first song titled “1:59” from her new album Dopamine.

“So, my first single “1:59” will be released on 4/26,” Cordy captioned an Instagram post.

In the video that Kordei shared, fans got a sneak peek at her new single, where she sings, “When I get you alone / Boy, what are you going to do with it? / Don’t talk too much, just do it a**.”

Kordei auditioned as a solo artist for X Factor USA Back in 2012 but was eliminated. However, she was brought back into the competition as part of a pop group that would become known as Fifth Harmony. The quintet ended up in third place in the second season but would go on to record three albums.

After the girl group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2018, Cordy released several singles over the years, starting with “Love Lies” with Khaled, which was featured on the soundtrack to the romantic comedy film. Love, Simon. Kordei would go on and release other songs like “Waves,” “Dancing with a Stranger” with Sam Smith, “Motivation,” “Diamonds” with Megan Thee Stallion, “Wild Side” with Cardi B, “Fair,” and “New to.” “You” with Calvin Harris, Tinashe and Offset.

Over the years, fans have been wondering when Kordei will release a full album and after a long wait it will finally be released in 2024.
