Gina Carano signs with Straightwire Entertainment Group


Exclusive: Gina Carano (The Mandalorian, dead pool) signed with Straightwire Entertainment Group for management.

Carano began her career as a mixed martial artist who made her feature film debut in the action film directed by Steven Soderbergh Foolish in 2011. She starred alongside Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Michael Fassbender, and Channing Tatum as Mallory Kane, a black ops agent who is betrayed by her employers and targeted for assassination in a plot. Her performance earned her a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Drama.

I followed that up with Fast and Furious 6 Directed by Justin Lin, where she played DSS Agent Riley Hicks and dead pool Along with Ryan Reynolds in 2016.

On the television side, Carano starred in Lucasfilm star Wars TV spin-off series The Mandalorian Where she played bounty hunter Cara Dune for two seasons.

In early 2021, Lucasfilm said there were no plans for Carano to return to the series in the future due to a series of controversial tweets, in which she compared the current divided political climate in the United States to that of Nazi Germany.

Last month, the actress filed a lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm, demanding that Disney and Lucasfilm be held liable for “acts of bullying, discrimination, and retaliation — actions that not only caused significant emotional harm, but caused the loss of millions of dollars in income.”

Since she left mandalorian, She has worked with the Daily Wire on films including Terror on the prairie (2022) alongside Gabriel Keane Day-Lewis and My son is Hunter Opposite Lawrence Fox and John James. She also played the lead role Crazy in the way (2019) Co-starring Jaime Camil, Vinnie Jones, Danny Trejo, Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith.

Carano currently has several film and television projects in the works, including plans for her directorial debut.
