Exclusive: Laura Dern, Billy Crudup and Riley Keough are set to join George Clooney and Adam Sandler in a new untitled Netflix pic directed by Noah Baumbach. Baumbach also co-wrote the screenplay with Emily Mortimer. Baumbach, Amy Pascal and David Heyman are producing the film.
Plot details are vague at this time other than it being a funny and emotional coming-of-age film about adults. Baumbach has an exclusive deal with the studio he previously directed Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)which also starred Sandler, Marriage story And recently White noise.
It represents a meeting between Baumbach and Dern, who had worked together marriage story, For which Dern won her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
Dern was recently seen opposite Hugh Jackman in the Sony Classics picture Son. It can be seen in the upcoming Apple series Palm Royale Opposite Kristen Wiig and Ricky Martin.
Crudup is an Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor, and recently won another award for his role Morning show The performance won a Critics’ Choice Award. His award-winning solo show Harry Clarke It was recently announced that it will open in the West End and Crudup plans to film this film and the play at the same time.
Keough received the best reviews of her career for the Amazon Prime series daisy And The Six, Which earned her an Emmy nomination. She was also recently seen in a Sundance photo Sasquatch sunset.
