Martin Scorsese thanks The Osage Nation for ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’: ‘Without them it wouldn’t be the picture you see today’ – DGA Awards


On Saturday night, when Martin Scorsese received the gold medal — an honor given by the DGA to all five feature film nominees — he thanked the cast and crew and Apple for their support in making the film. “First and foremost, I must reach out and thank the Osage nation itself,” he said. “I got out there before COVID, just a couple of times, and I got to know them a little bit, and I realized I had to change the whole scenario… Without the Osage, without them in front of the camera, and I gotta tell you, behind the camera, around us all the time, it definitely wouldn’t This is the picture you see today.
