Joe Biden criticizes special counsel over report’s references to his mental fitness: ‘My memory is good’

Joe Biden angrily denied that he has memory problems, and criticized a special adviser for pointing out his mental acuity in a report released earlier today.

Special Counsel Robert Hoare concluded that Biden should not be charged for keeping classified documents, but in his report he repeatedly pointed to the president’s cognitive capacity.

“I know there is some interest in the language in the report regarding my recollection of the events,” Biden said in his remarks in the Diplomatic Room tonight. “It’s been pointed out that I don’t even remember when my son died. How the hell dare he bring that up? Honestly, when I was asked that question I told myself it was none of their damned business.”

“Some of you have commented,” Biden added. Every day, since the day he died, I wear the rosary that he received from Our Lady…”

Then the president seemed to be choking. “Every Memorial Day we hold a mass for him attended by friends, family and people who loved him. “I don’t need anyone, I don’t need anyone to remind me of the day he left.”

Biden later responded to a reporter who asked him if he thought his memory had gotten worse.

“My memory is good. Take a look at what I’ve done since I became president. No one thought I could pass any of the things I got. How did this happen? You know, I think I forgot what was going on.”
