A senior BBC program official faces disciplinary action over anti-Semitic Facebook posts that referred to ‘holohawks’

Exclusive: A senior program organizer at the BBC has been summoned over a series of anti-Semitic Facebook posts in which she referred to “Holohawks” and promoted extremist conspiracy theories.

Deadline has learned that the BBC has been made aware of the posts by Dawn Queva, a senior scheduler and commissioning planner at BBC Three, and her line manager has been informed. While the BBC did not comment on individual staff, it said it “does not tolerate anti-Semitism, Islamophobia or any form of abuse, and we take any such allegations very seriously and take appropriate disciplinary action where necessary.”

Queva’s posts, which have not yet been removed, are of a rambling and vitriolic nature, making references to “holohoax” and “AshkeNazis”, the latter a play on the word “Ashkenazi”, meaning Jews of Jewish descent. From those who lived in Central or Eastern Europe.

One refers to “a group of recessive European melanists from the Caucasian and Asian Ashkan Nazi subcontinents who have absolutely no blood relation to the land of Palestine or Israel historically.”

Another classifies the Jewish people as “invading colonial species from the Caucasus without any indigenous blood or blood.” A third speaks of a Rothschild family conspiracy and refers to the Holocaust as “the Holocaust,” accusing Jews of “buying and selling those who are kidnapped from Africa,” among other wide-ranging accusations.

Another post adds: “The Zionist genocidal land is taking over the so-called ‘Jew’ regardless of the fact that UKKK and Amerikkka have ceded land to which they did not give a divine right to a people who have no divine right to it.” Read the screenshots below.

All posts retweet other videos, exploiting conspiracy theories.

Queva posts under the name Dawn Las Quevas-Allen on Facebook, which Deadline has confirmed is the same person called Dawn Queva who works for the BBC. She previously worked in scheduling for A+E, UKTV and Disney networks.

An alarming response

Dawn Kiva

It is understood Queva’s posts have been shared with concern in WhatsApp groups that have emerged since the Hamas attack on October 7.

The war between Israel and Hamas has been a highly controversial issue for national radio. Yesterday, we revealed that director-general Tim Davie held “listening meetings” with staff as the BBC sought to address internal unrest over perceived bias in its coverage of the war between Israel and Gaza. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Someone who learns a trade The contestant received diversity training after writing social media posts including calling Zionists an “atheist satanic cult.”

A BBC spokeswoman said: “We do not comment on members of our staff. We have well-established and robust processes for dealing with such issues. We do not tolerate anti-Semitism, Islamophobia or any form of abuse, and we take action.” Any such allegations are taken seriously and appropriate disciplinary action is taken where necessary.

Deadline has reached out to Queva for comment.
