Baldur’s Gate 3 players were left stunned when a fan inadvertently ignored every companion

Baldur’s Gate 3 players are shocked after seeing one player exploring the game without talking to anyone and unknowingly ignoring all of his companions.

Just like Dungeons & Dragons, Baldur’s Gate 3’s most popular quality is its variety. Whether you want to eliminate every character in the game, have an affair with a specific companion, or complete a mission in a clever way, the game will allow you to do so.

This leads to some cool techniques, discoveries, and spells, but can also cause players to lose some features. Usually it’s because they dropped Minthara without realizing it or let Jaheira drop that means Minsc is out of bounds – but in this case, it resulted in one player losing almost everything.

While sharing their discovery on Reddit, one user revealed the interesting choices his brother-in-law made while diving into the game: “My brother-in-law plays Baldur’s Gate 3 and really enjoys it, so of course I started asking him about the choices he and his companions made.

After asking their brother-in-law, they find out “that he is in Chapter 3 and that his only companions are Shadowheart, Astarion, and Jaheira.”

“Is he on an evil tour? No! The guy doesn’t talk to anyone,” the poster revealed, going on to explain how the player ended up completely missing Karlach and Gale, watched Shadowheart kill Lae’zel, ignored Halsin, and completely missed Wyll.

The poster went on to reveal: “What also bothers me about this is that this is also how D&D is played. There’s no role-playing, just hacking and slashing. I’m also shocked that I don’t use illicit powers for role-playing reasons. Of course, if these The way D&D plays, it makes sense to see a similar gameplay experience in BG3.

As expected, the comments were filled with many fans who found the show funny, with some claiming that it was “trying too hard not to be the main character.”

However, others were quick to explain how they had accidentally done something similar on their first playthrough: “I’m not even going to make fun of it, I did the exact same thing on my first playthrough. I didn’t talk to Wyll at camp, and I didn’t really explore the class area First, so Karlach did not think that the release of the Shadow Curse would come later, and thus he lost Halsin because of it.

If this playthrough has revealed two things, it’s that players are always finding new ways to explore the game and that Baldur’s Gate 3 is very tolerant of players who don’t like to talk.
