Palworld fans are cursing Nintendo over a suspiciously timed Pokemon rant

Nintendo’s Palworld fans put out a tweet highlighting some unwanted details in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet that didn’t go as planned.

Palworld’s rapid rise in popularity has seen it rise to the top of the Steam charts and shatter previous records for concurrent players on the platform. Developer Pocketpair recently announced that more than 4 million people have purchased Palworld in the first three days since its early access launch.

Palworld, previously branded as “Pokemon with Guns,” has caused a stir with Pokemon fans who claim the game “steals” creature designs and features from the series. Palworld fans couldn’t stand these accusations and are firing back at the Pokemon horde.

As the conflict between the two groups of players rages online, Nintendo of America He posted a questionably timed tweet extolling the virtues of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Palworld players swooped in with responses and wasted no time in bemoaning the latest entries to the Nintendo franchise.

In the tweet, Nintendo of America focused on the “hidden details” within Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. The details in question were that Spinarak’s belly markings change based on his mood and slight differences in loading screens when traveling from Paldea to Kitakami.

Most people in the responses were far from impressed, criticizing Nintendo and Pokémon for perceived inferiority to the recently successful Palworld. “Why are you tweeting this now?” one player asked suspiciously while other users were talking about the recent case of Nintendo’s monster tamer.

“You’ve been outsmarted by an indie team because you insist on staying back,” said one user comparing the two franchises. “This will continue to happen as long as you continue to choose to act as if it is 2002.”

“Pokémon is so backwards in everything that it’s really sad to see,” another enthusiast told Palworld. “As jaded fans of your franchise, you guys refuse to evolve this thing, which is ridiculous considering what Pokemon is anyway.”

Most of the complaints relate to the poor performance and nightmare-inducing bugs that Pokemon Scarlet & Violet dealt with at launch.

According to several users who responded to Nintendo of America’s tweet, “Palworld is better than Pokemon in every conceivable way.”
