Rumor Report: Seth Rollins Decision, Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada Update, More!


Speculating on the rumors surrounding professional wrestling is a favorite pastime for many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being spread by the professional wrestling rumor mill.

Today’s rumors:

  • For what it’s worth, Dave Meltzer wrote in The Daily Update that Seth Rollins “has to make a decision.” He’ll probably address what he’s doing to his knee raw.
  • It is unclear when Kenny Omega will return, says Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as he is currently waiting seven weeks to find out if he will need surgery to treat his diverticulitis. Apparently his condition was very bad and surgery wasn’t an option yet, so they would have to wait and see how his condition progressed.
  • On Wrestling Observer Radio, it was said that AEW and WWE have made offers for Kazuchika Okada but he has not yet decided on where he will go yet.
  • Meanwhile, multiple sources in NJPW told Sports Illustrated that Okada’s decision to leave NJPW “was not unexpected, and did not surprise anyone.” His decision on whether to sign with WWE or AEW is expected to be made very soon, with TNA being a “distant third” option.
  • Logan Paul has been training with Cameron Grimes to prepare for his match against Kevin Owens in Royal RumbleAccording to what PW Insider reported.
  • Will Ospreay is supposed to start as a regular on TV in February, according to the Observer. It is also scheduled for him revolution In Greensboro.
