A brand new PS5 game from Sony’s China Hero Project has been revealed called AI Limit, a sort of mash-up of NieR, Dark Souls and anime-style visuals that will launch later this year. You can watch the game’s trailer above to see it in action, with developer SenseGames focusing on story and combat.
“After the sudden and mysterious collapse of the artificial ecosystem, and the outbreak of natural disasters and wars, civilization is wiped out,” the Steam listing explains. “And in the centuries that followed, a strange substance known as clay spread everywhere, and monsters appeared. You will step into the last city of humanity – Havenswell, and explore the cold and damp sewers, slum layers, the Sky City above the lake, and so on, in search of the truth about… Destroy civilization in monster-infested ruins.
The description goes on to reveal a number of combat-related systems, from a sync modifier that makes you “stronger in battle” to a left-handed mechanic that deploys spells and assists. There may not be a Code Vein sequel coming, but fans now have to look forward to it.
Sony’s China Hero Project has already led to quite a few successful PS5 and PS4 releases over the years, such as FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch and ANNO: Mutationem. The anticipated Lost Soul Aside was also a result of the project, which has since expanded to India. Are you interested in the limits of artificial intelligence? Let us know in the comments below.
