WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A new poll of Florida voters finds many are still concerned about insurance reform.
The Florida Center for Political Strategy poll found that 21% of voters said insurance was a big issue and 23% of voters found inflation to be an important issue facing the state.
It also revealed that 55% believe Republicans and Democrats are not doing enough to lower insurance costs.
The poll of 988 registered voters was conducted in the first week of January.
The Florida insurance consumer advocate said she hears from people every day about insurance.
“In the insurance market, two primary concerns are the cost of homeowners insurance and the availability of homeowners insurance,” Tasha Carter said.
Lawmakers said insurance remains a top priority for them.
“There is nothing more important,” said state Sen. Tina Polsky, D-Boca Raton.
“We continue to put pressure on carriers and hold them accountable,” said state Rep. John Snyder, R-Hobe Sound.
