Bay County residents get answers to their insurance questions

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Department of Financial Services is helping Bay County residents with any insurance questions stemming from last week’s hurricanes.

A disaster recovery center has been located at Highland Park Baptist Church.

Members of the Red Cross and the Department of Financial Services helped people with insurance claims.

Those who attended also learned about unlicensed contractors and repair scams.
The folks at Hiland Park Baptist said they were happy to house the information center.

“We have a few agencies here, from the Red Cross to others, that are helping hurricane victims get their lives back to normal. The house is back in order. We’re really hosting it and trying to help the spiritual side,” said Corey Gunn, pastor of Highland Park Baptist Church. “For things.”

The Disaster Recovery Center closed earlier Thursday at 3 p.m
