Fitbit is getting a new Help Center hosted by Google

Google on Wednesday announced major leadership changes that will inevitably see Fitbit move closer to its parent company. One method already appearing is Fitbit’s new Help Center hosted on Google’s existing support infrastructure.

Fitbit help articles can now be found and hosted at support.google.com/fitbit after previously being located at help.fitbit.com. The content remains the same, while the original dark theme has its own upside.

We’re happy to announce that the Fitbit Help Center has gotten a revamp! We’ve updated the design with a cleaner, easier-to-use interface. You can now find the Help Center at support.google.com/fitbit.

When you visit the myhelp.fitbit.com home page, look for instructions/how to open the new Fitbit Help Center hosted on Google’s domain and used by Gmail, Pixel, and every other first-party product. Some of the higher-level product pages still exist, but the help articles on them redirect you to Google’s site.

High-level topics include:

Fitbit has also moved all of its PDF manuals to Google’s domain, including historical manuals like the Fitbit One and Flyer Bluetooth headphones. Fitbit also still handles live support chat instead of using Google’s solution.

More about Fitbit Flow

Another thing that hasn’t changed today is the Fitbit Community. The support forum is unchanged from what it was before and is still hosted on Community.fitbit.com, the same arrangement as Google Nest. It recently (in late December) celebrated its 10th anniversary, which included a message from James Park (Vice President, General Manager, and Co-Founder of Fitbit):

This month marks the 10th anniversary of the Fitbit Community Forum, and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of it over the past decade. You are all the core of our community, and your dedication to helping each other create the best Fitbit experience is what makes Fitbit so special.

Over the past 10 years, you’ve helped each other troubleshoot issues, learn new features, and stay motivated on your fitness journeys. You have created a welcoming and supportive space for everyone, regardless of their fitness level or goals and have helped us support millions of people around the world to live healthier, happier lives.

Thank you for being part of the Fitbit community!
