As we look forward to next week, we are looking forward to the beginning of a whole new era. We do so in classic Aquarius style as the Sun, and on the same day, Pluto enters this future-oriented air sign, beginning an upcoming chapter spanning almost two decades.

Aquarius is known as the water bearer, who pours into the group from his sacred vessel. According to legend, it is not just water that this air sign shares with the masses, but it is consciousness that provides new streams of inspiration, visionary abilities and a different way of doing life.

The sun enters Aquarius

The sun is our consciousness. It is our center, our life force, our vitality, our expression, our sense of identity, and the light that emanates from each of us at any given moment. As the Sun moves across the zodiac, our light changes its expression as well.

The Sun enters Aquarius on January 20, 2024, and will remain there until February 18, 2024. Those of us born on these dates find ourselves embodying and expressing this sign at every moment throughout our lives. No matter when we were born and what our sun sign may be, during these weeks we will all be able to explore the ethers of Aquarius. We can see the world through its lens, feel it in our bodies, and allow it to shape the expression of our life force.

Aquarius, as an air sign, looks to the future. It gives a vision that goes beyond the concrete expression of reality in our current era. He looks at what is now and then looks beyond it. It is a tower of innovation, change and development. It shows us a new way, a better way to serve humanity and the evolution of life itself. She is intellectual, free-thinking, humanitarian, innovative, and innovative. He is here to reach beyond the status quo.

As we journey through the world of Aquarius, each of us becomes a unique expression of Aquarius. Something inside begins to guide us to new and different ways of experiencing the world and going about our daily lives. We begin to think outside the box, tend toward change and innovation, and are open to alternative ways of being and doing. We approach our visions differently and, therefore, perceive the ideas and opportunities available to us.

Over these next few weeks we will be given the opportunity to open up to new, different, innovative and exciting ways to start building our dreams and living our lives. If there was ever a time to lean into change, and allow our future to take us by the hand and guide us forward, it is Aquarius season.

Pluto enters Aquarius

In an almost synchronistic and magical way, on the same day that the Sun enters Aquarius, Pluto also enters.

Although the Sun moves through each zodiac sign in a few weeks, Pluto can spend up to 21 years moving through one sign before entering the next. Its movements are very important, era-defining, and spanning generations. The movement marks an entirely new chapter in our individual and collective experience.

We’ve been dancing in two completely different worlds, Pluto in Capricorn and Pluto in Aquarius for about a year. During the week we take an important step in dance. For the first time since the 1700s, Pluto enters Aquarius in March 2023. It remains there until May 2023, when Pluto’s retrograde rotation moves it into Capricorn.

On January 20, 2024, Pluto returns to Aquarius. He will remain in this future-oriented sign until September 1, 2024, when he returns to Capricorn while in retrograde for the last time in our lives. On November 19, 2024, Pluto will return to Aquarius, where it will remain for about two decades, until 2043.

Pluto is our inner underworld. It is our unseen, our mystery, and our subconscious. It can only be found through a deep journey within, away from the aspects of self that we show to the outside world. It represents death, transformation, birth and empowerment. It is our darkness, our shadows and our weaknesses.

Aquarius is the new way, the different way, worlds yet to be ventured, worlds perhaps not yet understood. It is the beginning of a life that we do not yet know, yet we feel the call that sounds from within every cell of our bodies.

Pluto’s entry into Aquarius brings a shift in our private consciousness and the collective consciousness in which we find ourselves swimming, unable to separate from it. It invites us to shatter the status quo, the consensus, and the accepted, natural way of behaving and being in the world so that we can access the unknown gifts that live beyond it. He wants empowerment, and he asks us to look at anything, inside and out, that weakens us so we can begin to take back our power, step by step.

The Pluto shift comes with the opportunity to bring about profound internal and external transformation of the structures that connect us, as individuals and as a community. Although the Pluto movement is deeply transformative, working with us from the deepest depths of the self, it is a slow massage over two decades. We can’t know who we will be in 2043, but as we continue to move with Pluto, we can only imagine that it will be a completely different self and world.

I invited you

This week is our chance to start swimming in these waters of change, and notice how different Aquarius season and Pluto in Aquarius are on the inside of our bodies. Observing the kind of thoughts that dance in the spaces of our minds, the kinds of thoughts that find us, or even the things that begin to shift in our lives. It is our call to be open to this change.

Life always presents us with opportunities to grow, to become an embodiment and express more of who we are, and for our desires and visions to come into our lives. However, we are in active cooperation with this life, with these callings. This week, this season, and in the next two decades, we have the opportunity to transform our relationship to change, growth, the new and the unknown, and the future toward which each of our names calls.
