Fortnite fans are less enthusiastic about the idea of boosters returning in Chapter 5 after a leak revealed old betas for Chapter 4.
Reality Augments in Fortnite are the in-game equivalent of perks, offering simple gameplay boosts that can improve your performance during a match. These enhancements were introduced at the beginning of Chapter 4 but have been seen in recent seasons.
At regular intervals throughout a battle royale match, the game challenges players by presenting them with Reality Augments options. Perks accumulate as you collect them, creating a cumulative effect that increases the benefits the longer you stay in the game.

With the possibility of a return after testing revealed, players are expressing their disdain for the mechanic by wishing he wouldn’t return.

The leaker’s name iFireMoney Twitter/X has posted older test versions of Augments since they were first introduced to the game. The mechanic, although its inclusion in Chapter 5 is unclear, has drawn strong reactions from players.

“Please do not add reinforcements,” one user said. “It will be very complicated and confusing with medals, boosts and weapon modifications.”

Most of the comments below the post shared the same sentiments, asking Fortnite to “keep” the buffs that were tested. However, some were open to the idea of Ojomentes’ possible return, regardless of public discontent.
“Oh hell yeah,” said another. “It’s always been fun to customize how you move or what weapons do. It’s always nice to have the wildcard factor, although some people might disagree on that.
Fortnite has not yet made any official announcements regarding the addition of buffs for upcoming seasons. There have also been no other leaks regarding what boosts could be coming in a future update.
